My darling, have you ever held back from showing up fully online because of the fear of criticism? Maybe the thought of someone judging your work, your message, or even you has made you hesitate to post that video or share your gifts with the world. If so, you’re not alone.
Let me share a recent story with you.
If you’d rather listen along then click the video below.
During one of my free masterclasses, I was sharing a brand-new business model and creative process I’ve been using to shift from seven figures a year to eight figures a year in my business. The masterclass was filled with love, gratitude, and aha moments. People were gaining clarity and making profound shifts right there on the call.
But then, as I was teaching, a comment popped up:
"I thought we were going to learn something new. All we’re doing is listening to your sales pitch."
While I was teaching, I didn’t think much of it. I ignored the comment and chose not to react because there was no need. But then I remembered that, some years ago, if I had seen something like this during, say, a webinar, it would have completely discouraged me for a while. It would have crushed me. I would have doubted myself, questioned my worth, and replayed that comment over and over in my mind. Back then, criticism like this felt like a dagger to my heart.
But this time, I saw it for what it was: an opportunity.
I ignored the comment during the masterclass but later, I turned that very criticism into something valuable - a newsletter for my audience. And the response to that newsletter? It was Incredible. I received messages from women saying it gave them the confidence to stop holding back, to stop letting fear of judgment dictate their actions.
And one beautiful soul even wrote to say, "Can I just thank this troll of yours? Because this newsletter is what made me sign up for your programme today."
Yes, that single comment led to another incredible client stepping into my year-long programme, because I alchemised negativity into value.
But let me be clear: I wasn’t always able to do this.
And perhaps you’re reading this because you’ve felt the same - scared of online criticism, or trolling, as I like to call it. Worried about judgment, or dreading random negative comments on your posts or ADs?
The truth is, if you’re in the business of facilitating change, these experiences are inevitable. But what truly matters is how you respond to them - because how you handle them can shape your reality and turn challenges into opportunities.
Let me share how I navigated online criticism in my early years, the fears I overcame, and how I transformed them into power, growth, and even profits.
Fear of Criticism: My Journey from Pain to Empowerment
In my early years as a spiritual entrepreneur, criticism felt deeply personal. I believed that as long as I was visible, I would inevitably face trolls and naysayers - and it terrified me.
It’s not comfortable when someone throws judgment your way, saying, “You’re this,” or “You’re that.” It’s not comfortable at all. I remember crying after reading hurtful comments that attacked my integrity or made fun of my accent. Some of those words hit so hard that I genuinely questioned if I was good enough to teach and lead.
When that happened, I would turn to my “why.” I reminded myself that my vision and my clients mattered more than the discomfort.
So, I forced myself to show up anyway. I believed that over time, I’d develop a thicker skin, and to some extent, I did.
I had a folder in my Dropbox filled with testimonials, thank-you notes, and stories of the incredible results my clients had achieved. I would read through them, and they became my anchor. I’d remind myself, This hurt is worth it because this is why I do what I do.
That mindset kept me moving forward, even when fear and judgment knocked loudly at my door.
Over time, the way I handled these situations shifted. I realised there was a deeper opportunity here - a chance to truly grow, not just survive.
The Shift That Changed Everything
The real change happened in the moment I stopped seeing online trolls and critics as separate from myself. Instead, I began viewing them as reflections of my own consciousness - a mirror showing me something within that needed my attention.
Let me share an example. Years ago, I had a big piece of publicity in my home country, Slovakia. The article highlighted my work and business growth, and while many comments were positive, there were hundreds of negative ones. Some were outrageous, accusing me of unethical behaviour to achieve success. Those didn’t bother me at all. I could read them without any internal reaction.
But then there were comments about my language and accent. People mocked me for teaching in English, saying I should take lessons before I dared speak to an English-speaking audience. Those comments cut deep. They pressed an internal button, triggering a shadow within me - my own self-judgment about not being good enough because of my accent.
The truth is, when something triggers us, it’s pointing to a belief we hold about ourselves. That criticism reflected my own insecurity, a part of me that still believed I wasn’t good enough. I realised that if I wanted to step into greater levels of impact, I had to alchemise it.
I consciously shifted my identity, choosing to see my accent not as a flaw but as a unique part of who I am - reflective of my upbringing, my personality, and my journey. I decided that my voice, just as it is, would be the vehicle for making an extraordinary difference in the world. Through this process, I grew into being proud of my accent, my language, and the way I express myself.
And do you know what happened? Since making that shift, I’ve never received another comment about my accent. It’s as though the world no longer needed to reflect that insecurity back to me because I had fully integrated and transformed it.
When you take criticism as a mirror, it becomes a gift - an opportunity to grow stronger from within. That’s where the true alchemy lies. Once you shift the belief that criticism triggers, it loses its power over you. You become unshakable, ready to show up fully and serve with unapologetic brilliance.
Ready to alchemise your fears too? I will take you on a transformational journey to alchemise your fears in my brand new Masterclass Fear Alchemy, happening December 11th and 13th. Claim your free spot here!
Embracing Criticism as a Path to Growth
When we integrate the criticism or judgment that hurts, we dissolve its power over us. It’s not about denying the pain - it’s about recognising it for what it truly is: a reflection of self-judgment. Once we transform that pain into something greater, it no longer holds us back. Instead of being triggered by a negative comment, we can acknowledge it, let it go, and move forward with strength and clarity.
Criticism can become a great opportunity that allows you to look within, strengthen yourself, and grow. When you integrate self-judgment, you neutralise it. And when that happens, even the harshest comment can be transformed into something valuable.
This is exactly what I do now. Occasional negative comments still appear, but instead of feeling triggered, I use them as an opportunity to serve. For example, I might turn a single critical remark into content that inspires my clients or teaches them something valuable. By bringing more value to others, I see this reflected back in more sales, new clients, and deeper impact.
As I often say: I serve, therefore I deserve.
Your Turn to Transform
I hope this gave you a little inspiration and insight into how you, too, can strengthen your self-identity, build unshakable self-belief, and even transform online criticism into incredible growth, clients, and success.
