One of the most damaging ideas in the personal development and business world is this:
One day, when I’ve done enough, learned enough, proved enough, then I’ll be an authority.
No.
That thinking keeps brilliant leaders in hesitation for years. It keeps them researching instead of leading, trialling instead of deciding, asking the world what they should create instead of listening to what wants to come through them.
It keeps them in reaction rather than creation.
And it is deeply expensive.
Because when you do not claim your authority, you don’t just hold back your business. You hold back your medicine.
The Story That Snapped Me Out of It
Many years ago, when I was still in the earlier stages of rebuilding my business, I attended yet another networking event.
The speaker that day was Rob Brown, known at the time as the number one UK expert on business reputation. The room was full with hundreds of people. He was well respected, well positioned, and everyone was there to hear what he had to say.
During his keynote, he shared one of the greatest secrets of building a business reputation.
Not strategy.
Not more credentials.
Not waiting for the market to approve you.
He said: Decide what you want your reputation to be.
Then he shared that at one point, he simply decided he was the number one business reputation expert in the UK. He put it on his website. He put it in his materials. He claimed it before the outer world had fully caught up.
He didn’t wait for external proof.
He didn’t ask to be crowned.
He decided.
And because he decided, the field reorganized around that decision.
That is Business Energetics® 101.
The field responds to certainty.
The world responds to claiming.
The universe responds to self-definition.
The Decision Creates the Field
When you claim who you are with true energetic certainty, something powerful happens.
You do not merely “say words”, you activate a configuration, you bring something alive, you reveal a version of reality that already existed vibrationally, but had not yet been embodied through you.
That is what decision does.
So when you say: "I am an authority."
- You are not just talking to yourself.
- You are speaking to the universe within you.
- You are speaking to your nervous system.
- You are speaking to the marketplace.
- You are speaking to life.
And life listens.
The real question is not whether you are ready.
The real question is: When will you stop placing conditions on your worth?
Not after another certification.
Not after another launch.
Not after another £10K or £100K.
Not after more approval.
Now.
Why Trial Programs Weaken Your Power
This is why I say so clearly: powerful leaders do not run trial programs from insecurity.
Let me be precise.
There is nothing wrong with piloting something from clean intention, but when someone is “trialling” because they do not yet trust their own authority, because they need the audience to tell them whether their work is good enough, because they are afraid to fully stand behind what they created - that is reactive consciousness.
It is not leadership, it is uncertainty dressed up as strategy.
When you lead from that place, the field feels it.
Your clients feel it too, because people are not only responding to your offer, they are responding to the energy underneath the offer.

Reactive Consciousness versus Creative Consciousness
This is where the deeper teaching begins.
Reactive Consciousness
This is when you look outside first.
You ask:
- What should I sell?
- What will people buy?
- What should I charge?
- How do I package this so it works?
- What does the market want from me?
This is the world of endless focus groups, endless client research, and endlessly adjusting yourself to fit perceived demand.
And while yes, you may gather information, you also often gather more confusion, because if you ask the world from insecurity, the world mirrors insecurity back. If you ask from doubt, you get more doubt. If you ask from uncertainty, you amplify uncertainty.
Creative Consciousness
This is when you go within first.
You ask:
- How would I love to serve?
- What would I love to create?
- What transformation do I know is possible here?
- If I were my own ideal client, how would I want to be held, guided, and moved?
That is a completely different frequency.
That is where magician consciousness lives.
That is where true authority lives.
And that is where the most powerful offers come from.
You Are Your Best Client
This may stretch some of you, but stay with me.
You are your best client.
Not because every person is identical to you in personality or circumstances, but because at the deepest level, there is no true separation.
The people you are here to serve are not random, they are reflections in the field, they are part of the same energetic fabric.
So when you ask:
How would I love to be served?
What would feel most powerful, most transformational, most alive?
You are not becoming self-indulgent; you are accessing source-level intelligence.
That shift alone changes everything:
You stop packaging from fear.
You stop pricing from insecurity.
You stop trialling from uncertainty.
And you start creating from soul.
