There’s no doubt you’ve heard many times that the most successful people are skillful investors.
But investing doesn’t only involve money and shares in companies. You spend (waste!), or invest your energy all the freaking time!... And in doing so, you profoundly impact the course of your business and life.
Let’s have a deeper dive into the difference between those two, shall we?
You spend your energy when you get wrapped up in limiting thoughts and patterns..and let them - often unknowingly - negatively influence you for hours, days, weeks or months.
You invest your energy when you become aware of those limiting thoughts and patterns, and work on rapidly alchemising them into the fuel of your creativity and growth.
You spend your energy when you buy something (big or small) to satisfy your ego-mind needs (the need to belong; to measure up; to be loved; to be ready, worthy etc.).
You invest your energy when you buy something (big or small) because it is aligned with the Highest Version of your Self, and fills you with a sense of joy, expansion or ‘fearjoy’ (when you are energetically shifting because you are investing yourself).
You spend your energy when you give your maximum (because you must make sure you deliver…so you over deliver AF).
You invest your energy when you give your best (Queen archetype energy).
You spend your energy when you watch Netflix because you want to escape reality and the 99 problems you are currently facing.
You invest your energy when you watch Netflix because you feel like resting - or feeding your mind and knowing all is well.
You spend your energy when you say, “Yes”, when you actually mean, “No”.
You invest your energy when you say, “Yes”, because you really mean, “Yes!”
You spend your energy when you learn because you want to find the “missing piece” via which you can fix things.
You invest your energy when you learn because you love your craft or topic of interest, and are excited to learn more about it.
You spend your energy when your next step forward is blindly copied from others, hoping it will fix your situation.
You invest your energy when your next step comes from deep within your creative consciousness (and sometimes this step is inspired by previous learnings from others).
You spend your energy when you are drowning in jealousy, anger and frustration towards other people and circumstances.
You invest your energy when you use those people and circumstances to help you see what needs addressing within you; and then you address it.
You spend your energy when you chase more money, clients, relationships or anything else so you can be free, happy and fulfilled (because you believe that money, clients etc will allow you to be free, happy and fulfilled.)
You invest your energy when you dedicate yourself to the Truth of Your Soul - and sink into more and more joy, freedom and fulfilment every day (and naturally attract more money, clients, meaningful relationships etc.)
The list could go on. But by now, you are probably feeling the difference between spending and investing your energy, right?
So why not reflect on exactly where you are spending, and investing your energy … In your relationships? Business? Self-Image?
And why not make a commitment to become a masterful investor of your energy and, as such, profoundly enhance all areas of your business and life?
