4 TIPS ON HOW TO SELL MORE
You may or may not heard that I’m turning my signature Get Fully Booked Academy program (previously sold at £3k) into affordable month-by-month membership experience.
Get Fully Booked Academy is a program truly close to my heart. And I’ve run a few GFBA launches in the last 3 years!!
Today I came across a reflection post I wrote after one of those launches a while back.
I wanted to share it with you because I am sure that – as long as it’s your desire to have wonderful launches, sell out your offerrings, or simply sell MORE, you’ll find these 4 tips on how to sell MORE very useful.
WALKING DOWN THE MEMORY LANE
“On Monday we kicked off the Get Fully Booked Academy with a Welcome & Orientation call. Whoa! So much energy, excitement, and growth in the group already!
But before we started, I took a few moments to reflect on this launch. You see, this was my shortest (3 weeks front to back) most profitable (£65.5K / $80K in contracted revenue) and most “in the flow” launch so far. So I wanted to share a few reflections with you. I hope you’ll find these 4 tips on how to sell MORE useful:
1. A COMPLETE NON-ATTACHMENT PAYS OFF
I didn’t plan to open the doors to the Get Fully Booked Academy until next year. But since the fees for the program are going up, I thought: “Why not give ladies who’d benefit from the opportunity to join now for a current fee?”
As such, I didn’t have a goal. I didn’t have a minimum for “this many women” or “this much revenue.”
Even though this is contrary to my teachings, it helped me to stay completely detached from the outcome.
As a result, I could focus more on service and less on achieving my goals. My job was to inspire and invite, and that’s it!
It definitely worked for me and I will definitely play with “no goals!” going into future launches.
2. GIVERS GAIN
“I’m scared that if I give them too much, people won’t sign up for my paid services.” – I hear this quite often.
Well, they will. As long as you don’t assume otherwise.
You see, people don’t pay for information. They pay for implementation and YOUR guidance; your energy. People buy YOU.
I gave away a ton of useful advice and guidance during the Get Fully Booked Bootcamp (some could argue a little too much) and this still proved to be a case.
Givers gain. Period.
3. IMPROVE AS YOU GO ALONG. BUT DON`T MEASURE FINAL RESULTS UNTIL IT IS OVER
On the first day of Get Fully Booked Academy Launch, NOBODY booked. Not one lady. The second day? Zero buyers. The third day – one lady booked.
The cart for Get Fully Booked Academy was open for only ten days. So if I were to measure my results by the first three days, I would have probably given up right away.
Yes, it’s essential to improve and tweak as you go along – but for goodness sake, don’t assume “this just doesn’t work, nobody wants what I’ve got to offer.”
Because? Our inventive mind can easily persuade us that this is the case. Right?
So be careful what your mind is saying about your launch, your offering, your whatever. Be careful about your evaluations!
4. BREAKING THE RULES IS OK
After an inspiration hit, I sat down and wrote a plan on a piece of a napkin (literally). So much for the detailed launch planning!
I didn’t do “stacked bonuses,” I didn’t do any list building, I took several half days off (apart from the weekends of course), and I broke way more ‘rules’ than that!
Things don’t have to be perfect for them to work.
In fact, the more my business grows, the more I am convinced that
being in alignment with who we really are (powerful creators) and with our ‘why’ is far more important than following marketing books to the letter.”
